Happy Tuesday! Can you believe February is already nearly over?!?
This past weekend, my sweetie and I had a reception here in town to celebrate our destination wedding last month. Someone who has been very close to my sweetie's family for a number of years offered to make our wedding cake and we gladly took her up on the offer. We wanted to do something for her as a thank you and decided to get her a gift card to a good restaurant so that she and her husband can go and enjoy a date night.
I made a gift card holder like this one before, that you can see HERE. I made a standard A2 size card. Then I took a piece of 5.25 x 11 cardstock and scored it at 4, 5.5 and 7 inches. I made a slit along the scoreline at 5.5 inches that was just a little wider than the gift card, then zigzag folded the paper and glued it inside the card. That way the gift card will be held in the middle of the card.
Have a great week!!

A Good Friend....
Happy Saturday! I hope everyone has a fun weekend ahead of them! A little over a month ago, my sweetie and I got married in Turks and Caicos and this evening we are having a reception here in town to celebrate with our friends and family. This week has been a little stressful for me as I've been worried about a lot of the little things in preparation for tonight. I think we're ready though!
This week over at Celebrate the Occasion, the challenge is "Thinking of You." The card I made for this challenge is one that I am going to give to a good friend of mine who has helped me a lot leading up to not only the reception tonight, but also the wedding last month. She and I used to work together and had a "Starbucks Friday" ritual. She no longer works for the same company, but we still try to get together once in a while for our Starbucks fix! The sentiment is perfect as she has listened to me vent so many times about various things over the past few months. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciate her listening to my rants as well as all of her help.
Thanks for coming by and I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Good evening! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. The Monday challenge this week over at My Craft Spot is Birthday Shape cards. I'm trying to build up my card stash again so I was excited when I saw this challenge. It's always good to have birthday cards on hand and shaped cards are always fun! I flipped through the Sweet Treats booklet and saw this ice cream sundae and decided to make it for my card. Who doesn't love ice cream, right?? Thanks for coming by to take a look!

Challenge Me Monday #98
Happy Saturday! I'm so happy to have a three day weekend ahead of me. I had a nice run this morning with some good running friends and have a scrap night tonight with one of my best friends. My weekend is off to a good start and I hope yours is too!
I decided to get a quick card put together this morning before I head off to scrap. This week over at Fantabulous Cricut, the weekly challenge is Fun with Puns. I have a couple of stamp sets full of puns so I looked through them and one caught my eye. Earlier this week I spent my lunch hour playing with my Gypsy and got this card laid out. Here's what I came up with. Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful weekend!

Good evening everyone! I have one final Valentine to share with you tonight. I'm also entering this into the challenge over at My Craft Spot. The challenge this week is Valentines - make a Valentine card or treat packaging. This is the card I made for my niece. I love elephants and wanted to use one of my elephant images along with this sentiment for a Valentine's day card. I made a similar card for my sweetie a while back but just couldn't resist. Thanks for coming by to check it out and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day tomorrow!!

Valentine's Day Card
Hello and Happy Saturday! My weekend has been busy so far, but my sweetie and I are getting ready to watch a movie. We don't watch a lot of movies, so I'm really looking forward to a couple relaxing hours with a (hopefully!) good movie.
The project I have to shared tonight is the card I created for my sweetie for Valentine's Day. I'm going to enter this card into the challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut. The challenge this week is Love is in the Air and we're supposed to include a heart in our project. My card has the heart balloons from the Sweethearts cartridge and I also drew a heart border around the mat of the card. Thanks for coming by and enjoy your weekend!!

Good evening everyone! I hope your week is going well. We're already halfway to Friday!! Is it bad how much I look forward to the weekend every week?? I enjoy my job, but I sure do enjoy my weekends too!!
This week over at Celebrate the Occasion, the challenge is Anything Goes Birthday. Well, today is my sister-in-law's birthday so this challenge works great for me. I think the Rock Princess cartridge has so many fun images on it. As I was flipping through the handbook looking for an image to use I saw the sample project and thought it was really cute. I changed the image and the colors and instead of making a square card I made a 5x7, but I definitely scrap-lifted the idea for this card. Thanks for coming by to check it out!

Valentine's Pail
The project I have to share today is a clear pail that I decorated for Valentine's Day. I plan to fill it with peanut M&Ms for my sweetie. Peanut M&Ms are one of his favorite candies. I put some in his Christmas stocking this year and have gotten in 'trouble' for eating some of them, so I figure I will replenish the stash. I decided to decorate the pail for a cute way of packaging the candy.
Also, over at Die Cuttin Divas and My Craft Spot this week, the challenges this week is Anything Goes so I'm submitting this project to those challenges. Thanks for coming by!

Hello! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! I had a nice run this morning (very thankful it was only drizzling instead of raining hard as they were predicting!). Then I went and checked out a local scrapbook store that I had been past a number of times but never stopped at. Can you believe it?!? A scrapbook store not too far from my house and I hadn't checked it out yet. She has so many paper choices and lots of odds and ends - I'll definitely be back!!
This week over at Celebrate the Occasion, the challenge is to make a thank you card and you must use a punch. Since I have my Cricut I don't buy too many punches, but I went through my supplies and found a small flower punch. I decided to use that, along with a border punch, and this is what I came up with. Thanks for coming by to check it out!
Recipe:
Cardstock from Bazzill and Recollections
Martha Stewart 3-dot border punch
Small flower punch
Scallop frame from Create a Critter cut at 1.5x2.5 inches
Sentiment from TPC Studio's Greeting set
Ribbon from my stash
