Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge at FCCB!

Challenge #208 April Showers
Create a project using an umbrella

Winner will receive their choice of 3 digital images

This challenge is very fitting for me right now - we've been getting a lot of rain and thunderstorms around here lately.  And let me tell you, it seems like every time it has rained here recently, it has poured, just like the sentiment on my card says!!

When I was at one of the local craft stores not too long ago, I was flipping through a pad of paper from The Paper Studio and this paper with the rain boots on it jumped out at me.  I thought it was so cute!  When I saw this challenge, I knew it would be perfect.  I love the bright colors, especially since I've been seeing so many grey skies lately!!

I hope you will join in the fun with us this week at FCCB!  Remember, to qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Easter
Create a project using a bunny or an Easter project

For my project, I made an Easter card with one of the cute images from the Simply Charmed cartridge.

I rounded two of the corners of the card, just to mix things up a little. Then I dressed up the chick by adding some google eyes and I also added faux stitching to the egg.  A double twine bow and a button finish off my card!

I hope you join in the fun with us this week!  Remember, to qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.  Thanks for stopping by!

Easter Card

Happy Thursday!  I hope you are all having a good week.  My sweetie has been out of town and is coming home this evening.  I decided to sneak in a bit of crafting time before he got home.

Over at Die Cuttin Divas, they're having a fun challenge that I thought I'd play along with.  It's a tic-tac-toe challenge using the box below.
I went from the top left corner diagonally down to the bottom right corner.  And I threw in the top right corner for good measure!  ;-)

I created the card base by welding two scalloped circles together from the Elegant Edges cartridge.  I cut the frame layer of the shape as well.

I found the cute chick holding the egg image at Miss Kate's Cuttables.  I'm still getting used to my Silhouette, but I'm loving it!  I found this image very easy to put together - and the small parts of the image cut beautifully!

I have one more Easter card to finish up, but then I'm ready for Sunday!  Were you all a little better prepared for the upcoming holiday that I was?!?  Thanks for coming by today!

Sketch Challenge
Create a project inspired by the following sketch:
Sketch is from Card Positioning Systems

Here is the card I came up with, based on this sketch:

One of my sweetie's cousins got married last month in Jamaica and they just had their reception this past weekend.  Their wedding colors were coral and grey, which inspired my paper choices for this card.

I popped the smaller frame up off the card using regular pop dots, then I popped up the bride and groom using thinner pop dots, for a little extra dimension.

I hope this sketch gives you some inspiration for a project this week!  Link up over at FCCB, and remember, to qualify for the prize you must to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Spring Cleaning
Create a project using a cartridge or cut you have never used before.

I got the Outdoor Man cartridge a while back, thinking it would come in handy for projects for some of the guys in my life.  My dad, brother and sweetie all love to go hiking and camping.  They go on a week-long trip together every year, and this year my father-in-law will be joining them.  I made this card for him - his birthday is this week and we are giving him some new gear for the trip.

These images from the Outdoor Man cartridge make me think of the trip the boys will be going on.  They sleep in sleeping bags in small tents for an entire week!

I hope you join in the fun this week and pull out those cartridges you haven't used yet.  Link your project up over at FCCB by Sunday evening.  Remember, to qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.  Thanks for stopping by!

Anniversary Card

Happy Saturday!  I hope you are all having a great weekend!  I spent some time crafting today, and we're getting ready to meet some friends for dinner.  Tomorrow I'm running a 43-mile relay race with some friends for work.  Should be a good time!

I thought I'd share this quick card I put together.  I'm sending this to my grandparents for their anniversary.

I used the A2 Heart Cluster Card that I found in the Silhouette Store.  I changed it up just a little because I wanted some different hearts popped up than the file calls for.

I love how fast this card came together and the fun look with some hearts popped up and some cut through the card base so you can see the paper on the inside.  Thanks for coming by to take a look!
