Handy Man Thank You

Hello everyone!  Hope your weekend is off to a good start.  I enjoyed a long run this morning with some great running partners, came home and went downstairs to whip up a quick card.  This card is for the parents of my sweetie's best friend.  They helped us out with the flooring in our kitchen and family room, and we wanted to make them a thank you card to let them know how much we appreciate everything they did for us.

I actually bought the Handy Man cartridge a few weeks before the tree fell on our house.  It was on sale and I thought the cartridge could come in use for home repair pages, or cards for my sweetie's dad because he helps us out with various repairs on the house as well.  Little did I know just how much use this cartridge would be getting so quickly!!

CCCC #25

Happy Friday everyone!!  Boy am I ready for the weekend!  Maybe it's the heat, but this week sure felt long and I'm really looking forward to some R & R!

Today's post is for the Cricut Cartridge Chaos Challenge #25 over at More Than Favors.  The challenge this week is to use the Sweethearts cartridge.  I've seen a few people using the tree from this cartridge recently and think it's such a cute image that I decided to use it on my card.  This card is going to be for my sweetie's grandpa and his wife, who will be celebrating their second anniversary in about a couple of weeks.  Thanks for stopping by to check it out!

Shaped Birthday Card

Wow is it hot here in the Midwest!!  I hope everyone out there is surviving this heat!

The card I have to share today is a birthday card that I made for the husband of one of my best friends.  We helped celebrate the day with a group of friends on Saturday evening and had a great time.  I've seen a number of people use this card base from Birthday Bash and really like it.  And I think I'm getting a little better at making manly cards - my sweetie even commented that I did a good job of not making it too girly!!

Happy Birthday Bird

I have been absent for so long and I think I am starting to go through crafting-withdrawal!  House repairs are almost complete - I'm hoping to have my kitchen and family room back and in working order by the weekend.  I'm also hoping that when all of that is complete and behind us I will find more time to craft again!!  I have birthdays coming up that I need to make cards for and the layouts I want to complete are adding up as well.  I can't wait to get some good quality crafting days in!

This card is for one of my aunts.  With my lack of crafting time I realized I needed a card close to the last minute.  Thanks goodness for the Birthday Bash cartridge - I can flip through that book and one of the images is sure to jump out at me!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday.  I just talked to her on the phone and it sounds like she had a nice day.  I think the best part is that my dad didn't put her to work all day trying to get their new house in order!!  Here is the card I made her.  I wanted to do something different than the standard A2 card, so I decided to do a stairstep card.  There's a lot going on with this card!  Happy birthday mom!!
