Gift Card Holder

Hello!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a good start!  The weather was beautiful here and my sweetie and I were able to play golf yesterday.  We both played well, which makes it even more fun.  :)

The card I have to share today is a birthday card I made for a friend of mine.  Her husband likes skulls, crossbones, etc and I think some of that has rubbed off on her.  She has a pirate flag up in her cube at work with a skull and crossbones on it and from time to time I see her with accessories along that line.  So I decided to go along with that theme for her birthday card.  I made a standard A2 size card going horizontally, but I put the crease along the left side so it would open like a book.  I wanted to put a gift card inside and I thought it would look better this way.  To hold the gift card in place, I cut a strip of paper that matched my card base at 1.5 x 4.25 inches.  Then I used a Fiskars border punch for the strip of flowers.  I adhered the flower strip to the 1.5 x 4.25 piece of paper, put adhesive along the sides and bottom of that strip and adhered it to the inside of my card to make a pocket for the gift card to sit in.
