FCCB #164 Father's Day

Good morning!  It's Monday and that means it's time for another fun challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut!!  Can you believe Father's Day is already coming up this weekend??  This week's challenge is in honor of all the father's out there - we want to see your Father's Day creations!

I made this card for my father-in-law.  He's a very handy man, helping my sweetie out with all sorts of projects around our house.  I saw this card in Cricut Craft Room as one of the free cuts and I immediately thought of him.

The card in CCR says Man of the House in the middle of all those tools.  I wanted a basic Happy Father's Day sentiment, so I used the Hide Contour feature and hid the original sentiment.  I found this Happy Father's Day sentiment on the Wild Card cartridge and was able to size it easily in CCR so that it would fit perfectly on the card.

The card in CCR is designed to be the entire card base, not just the top layer like I cut.  I simply cut it in half so that I could use it as a layer on top of a solid card base.  A little stitching and dots with a white gel pen finished off my card.

Be sure to link up your Father's Day creations at Fantabulous Cricut by this Sunday!!  Thanks for stopping by to see my creation and have a wonderful week!

Recipe:
Solid cardstock from Bazzill and Recollections
Pattern paper from SEI Homestead pack
Man of the House card from CCR cut at 8.4 inches
Happy Father's Day from Wild Card cut at 2.1 inches
White Sakura gel pen
