Cupcake Card

Happy Saturday!  I hope everyone's weekend is going well.  I had a nice run with a friend on a beautiful fall morning today.  Then I was able to spend a bit of time crafting.  All in all, a good day for me!

Here is a card I made today, to add to my stash.

The pattern paper is from DCWV's The Sweet Stack, and I found the cupcake and frame image on the Love You a Latte cartridge.

I added some faux stitching to the frame and popped up both the frame and the cupcake for some fun dimension.  I'm going to link this card up over at Die Cuttin Divas for their Anything Goes challenge this week.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my creation!

Happy World Card Making Day!

Hello!  I'm sneaking this in right before World Card Making Day ends (in my time zone anyway!!).  I got online earlier today and realized that today was World Card Making Day and thought, how can I not make a card today??

As I was surfing around blog-land a bit, I saw Shop Pumpkin Spice's blog hop and current challenge - green and brown.  I thought that sounded like a fun challenge, so I headed to my craft area and started looking through my Cricut Cartridges for some ideas.  I came across the Love You a Latte cartridge, which I've had quite a while but barely used.  Here's what I came up with:

I made this shaped card by cutting two of the base images, scoring the top of the back layer and using adhesive to adhere the two images only at the top.

A simple card, perfect for a coffee-lover!  Thanks for coming by to take a look!!

Birthday Cupcakes

Good morning!  I hope you have all been having a wonderful weekend!  We had a grey and rainy Saturday here.  My sweetie and I got a few things done around the house and I was also able to sneak in a little crafting.  A little later today I'm headed over to a girlfriend's house to do some scrapbooking.  Crafting on both days of the weekend = no complaints from me!  :-)

This week over at Die Cuttin Divas, they're having a sketch challenge.  I have a number of birthdays coming up so I decided to create a birthday card.  Here is the sketch we were given:

And here is my creation:

I plan to send this birthday card to a guy, so I kept it pretty simple.   You can't really tell in my pictures but the pattern paper and a couple of the solid papers have a bit of shimmer to them.  I didn't want to add too much else to the card for fear of blinging it up too much.

I also broke out a cartridge I've had for quite a while but never used - Love You a Latte.  That cartridge has so many fun images on it; I don't know why I haven't used it yet!  Does anyone else have cartridges like that - one you like but haven't used yet??

Thanks for coming by to take a look at my creation.  Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!!
