Sketch Challenge
Create a project using the following sketch:

This sketch is from the now defunct Card Positioning Systems.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I feel like I'm always in need of birthday cards, so I decided to make a card for my stash.  I found the cupcake image (including the circle mat behind it) on the Slumber Party cartridge.  It's hard to tell in my pictures, but I added glitter to the frosting and Glossy Accents to the cherry.

I used fun pattern papers from the DCWV Birthday Wishes stack as well as the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder.

We'd love to have you join in the fun at FCCB this week!  Remember, to qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.  Thanks for stopping by!

Recipe:
Solid cardstock from Recollections
Pattern cardstock from DCWV Birthday Wishes stack
Cupcake and mat from Slumber Party cut at 3 inches
Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder

Challenge Me Monday #96

Happy Friday Eve!  I hope everyone is having a wonderful week!  This week has gone by pretty fast for me.  Heck, this year is going by pretty fast.  Can you believe it's already February?!?  It seems like just last week I was thinking about Christmas shopping and preparing for the holidays and here it is nearly Valentine's day!!

This week over at Fantabulous Cricut, they are having a challenge to celebrate the upcoming holiday.  The challenge is Valentiny Cards, and we are to make a 3x3 card.  I decided to make a few, as I figure it can't hurt to have a little valentine to leave for someone.  I love the little love bug and lady bug images, and you can never go wrong with hearts, right?  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Recipe:
Cardstock from Bazzill and Recollections
Heart with arrrow from Celebrate with Flourish cut at 2.5 inches

Heart with scallop border from Slumber Party cut at 2.75 inches
Swiss dots and Swirl embossing folders
Ribbon from my stash

MCS Monday Challenge #35

Hello everyone and happy Friday!!  I'm really looking forward to this weekend.  Work was stressful this week, so I'm definitely ready for a break for a couple of days.  I also have a scrap night planned with one of my best friends, which is always great - crafting and girl time....gotta love it!

The project I have to share tonight is a Christmas card that I created for 2 reasons.  One was so that I could send another card to Madison's I Feel the Love Project.  Click HERE for more information on that.  The second reason I created this card is for the Monday Challenge over at My Craft Spot.  The challenge this week is 'Christmas Through the Window' - to create a Christmas card or project with a window.  Christmas cards are always fun for me, but adding a window.....that's something I don't do very often.  What a great challenge!  Thanks for stopping by to take a look!
