Birthday Sketch Card

Happy Saturday!  Today is my dad's birthday.  I'm happy to be able to spend the day with him and the rest of the family!

I found a card sketch on Pinterest that I liked and used it as inspiration when I created my dad's card.

I've had the pattern paper for what seems like forever - it was in a Paper Studio pad I picked up a long time ago.  I've been wanting to use it for quite a while and finally did!

I always have a hard time with birthday cards for guys.  I stuck with primary colors, and I was especially thankful to come across this sketch for a little help.  Thanks for coming by to check out my card.  Have a great weekend!!

Half Marathon LO

Good evening!  I hope you are all having a fabulous week!  I've been busy at work, but have still managed to find some time to craft, so I can't complain!  Plus, the weather around here has been wonderful the past few days which is always a bonus!

The project I have to share tonight is a layout I created for a half marathon I ran last fall.  I keep all of my race bibs and try to print race results from the internet and think a scrapbook is a great way to keep track of races that I run.  Unfortunately I don't always have pictures of the race, so my layouts center around the race bib, results and finisher's medal.

I'm submitting this layout in the "Let's Get Moving!" challenge that Missy over at Quick Chick Designs is hosting in honor of National Scrapbook Day.  Thanks for coming by to take a look!

Monday Challenge #45

Good evening!  I hope you are all having a wonderful week.  The Monday challenge this week over at My Craft Spot is Birthday Shape cards.  I'm trying to build up my card stash again so I was excited when I saw this challenge.  It's always good to have birthday cards on hand and shaped cards are always fun!  I flipped through the Sweet Treats booklet and saw this ice cream sundae and decided to make it for my card.  Who doesn't love ice cream, right??  Thanks for coming by to take a look!

Can you believe that Christmas is only 10 days away??  I sure can't!  I'm pretty sure I'm finished shopping, but I haven't wrapped anything and still haven't finished my Christmas cards.  Needless to say, I know what I'll be doing this weekend!!

Even though I feel like I still have a mountain of things to do before Christmas, I have managed to get a few things crossed off my list.  One of those things is some gift tags.  Here are four tags I created to add to packages..... when I finally get them wrapped that is! LOL!

Wacky Wednesday #56

Good evening!  I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that your week is off to a good start.  I had a wonderful evening on Saturday scrapping with one of my bff's.  I was also able to enjoy the wonderful weather we've had the past few days here in the midwest and get out and play a round of golf with a couple of friends on Sunday.  This fall weather has been wonderful!

This week over at More Than Favors, the Wacky Wednesday challenge is Halloween.  I created some treat bag toppers for some kids that my sweetie and I are pretty close to.  I've never made bag toppers before and wasn't sure how to best attach them to my baggies.  I ended up using my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.  Does anyone out there have any better ideas for me so there aren't staples showing on my project??  I would love to hear your advice and thanks for stopping by!!

This week over at My Craft Spot the Monday Challenge is a color challenge, using black with orange, green or purple.  I had a couple different ideas going through my mind, but decided to go with black and orange and continue on with the Halloween streak I've been on lately.  Here's my creation - thanks for stopping by to take a look!

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Today is my parents' 39th wedding anniversary.  I wanted to make a different style of card, just to make it a little more exciting and special.  I've seen a few of the 'Just a Note' style cards and thought they were really cute, so I decided I wanted to try to create that style of card on my Gypsy.  Overall, I was really pleased with how it turned out.  Also, I've had Glossy Accents for a long time, but haven't used them.  I've seen so many others use it on their projects, and I must say, pictures do not do Glossy Accents justice!!  Now that I've seen the results in person, I'm wondering why I haven't been using them this whole time!  I put Glossy Accents and glitter on the diamond of the ring and Glossy Accents on the champagne bottle and glasses and love how it turned out.  Thanks for coming by to check out my creation.  Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!!

Cupcake Gift Tag

Tomorrow is my sweetie's birthday.  This was a quick and easy tag that I made to put on his birthday present.  I got the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cartridge with the Gypsy update last fall but haven't used it yet, so I was excited to check it out.  I haven't made many tags and think I need to start making more for gifts that I give.  They can add so much to the present and really don't take too much time!
