FCCB #161 - Oh Baby!

Good morning and happy Monday!  I hope you all had a great weekend!!

Monday means another great challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut.  This week's challenge is Oh Baby!  Create any project for a new baby, just be sure to use your Cricut!!

I don't know anyone who's expecting right now, so I thought I'd make a couple simple baby cards to have on hand so I'm prepared should the need arise.

I used 9 Months and New Arrival for my onesies.  I added a little glitter to the flower on the girl onesie and to the duck on the boy onesie.

I finished each card off with twine tied through a button, and a few crystal gems.

Die Cuttin Divas is hosting another great challenge this week - Anything Goes!  I thought I would take this opportunity to try something I've never done before.  Have you seen some of the fabulous cascading cards out there in blogland??  There are some amazing creations out there!!

I found a great tutorial HERE and had no problems getting the card base put together.  I will admit though, once I got that complete, I was a bit overwhelmed thinking about how I was going to add on to the card.  There just seemed to be so much space to fill in!!  Here's my first attempt at a cascading card - I'm sure I'll be making another card in this style sometime!

Baby Shower Card

Happy Wednesday!  Another busy week for me, but my sweetie and I are looking forward to some relaxing lake time this weekend so we're excited about that!

The card I'm sharing today is the card I made for the baby shower we went to this past Sunday.  I wanted to make something different than a 'standard' A2 card, so I decided to go with a tri-fold shutter card to change things up a little.  I chose images that were similar to ones on the shower invitation, added some buttons, ribbon, twine bows, and there you have it.  This card came together pretty easily for me - I think I'm getting some of my crafting mojo back!!  :)

Tri-fold Baby Card

Happy Saturday!  I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.  Last night was My Pink Stamper's Pinkalicious Blog Hop Friday.  I had a great time seeing the creations from her new design team and got started on my project.  The challenge is to show your style by making your favorite thing.  Well, I don't know that I have a 'style', but I do have some favorites : my Cricut (surprise, surprise!), My Pink Stamper stamp sets, and trying new techniques.

My step-neice is expecting a baby boy in less than a month and I decided to make her card so that it is ready when her baby makes his arrival.  This is my first tri-fold card - I was worried that it would be difficult to make, but was surprised how easily it came together.  Thanks for stopping by to check it out!

Stair Step Baby Shower Card

I have seen a number of stair step cards recently and think they look so neat!  Well, my step-niece is expecting a baby boy and the baby shower is this weekend.  So I figured this was as good a time as any to try and make a stair step card.  It's a lot of blue and I'm second-guessing some of the paper choices, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  I really like how easy it is to incorporate a number of images onto the card.  I have how many Cricut cartridges with how many images on them??  I may as well try to cut out as many images as I can and get my money's worth, right?!?

Baby Boy!

Our neighbors are expecting their second child any day now - a little boy.  I have been having so much fun making baby cards and a baby scrapbook for good friends of ours.  They just had a little girl and I must admit, I was a bit stumped on what to do for a little boy.  Apparently I have just as hard a time making cards for baby boys as I do for grown men!!  Over at Scrappy Moms Stamps, the Tuesday challenge is New Arrival.  Perfect for me since I need to get a card made for our neighbors!  Here's what I came up with - thanks for stopping by to take a look!

My First Challenge!

I was so excited to make this card for a couple of reasons.  First of all, some good friends are expecting their first baby in about 6 weeks, and they're having their baby shower next weekend.  So of course I needed to make a card for that!  Second, I saw the 'New Arrival' challenge over at Celebrate the Occasion and thought this would be a perfect way to get started with blogging challenges.  And finally, I just got the 'Sweet Baby' My Pink Stamper stamps, which are so neat - and obviously perfect for this occasion!  I saw the stork and delivery images on the 'New Arrival' cartridge and thought they fit perfectly with the sentiment from my new stamps.  Here's my creation and my introduction to scrapping challenges!  Thanks for stopping by to check it out!!
